Wednesday 23rd December 2020 - Christmas Boat, Tier 4 and Happy Christmas
The tour of Overstrand in the Christmas boat was greatly appreciated. Comments on social media were full of thanks to those who organised and took part, bringing smiles to many faces. We were busy unpacking our online grocery delivery when the boat and singers passed by but I was able to open the door and give a wave. Thanks here to the organisers for allowing me to share their photo of the Christmas boat.
Whilst writing, Peter has told me Norfolk will be moving to Tier 4 on Boxing Day. When I have finished typing this, I will be looking to see exactly what we will then be allowed to do when additional restrictions come into place. I have heard of some selfish actions taken by people who have ignored the restrictions in their area. I am not going to go into detail here about their selfishness. What I am going to say is, have a thought for those in hospital with Covid-19, or other life threatening medical conditions, who are fighting for their lives. We may not have the Christmas we would like but we should be thankful for what we have got. Take care and stay safe so that MAYBE in 2021 we will be able to meet up with family and friends, and look back on 2020 as if we had woken from a terrible nightmare.
Finally, I along with Peter, Barney and Sid, wish you all a very Happy Christmas and a Healthy New Year.
