Overstrand Gardening Club
The Overstrand Gardening Club was formed in 2000.
The object of the club is to provide those interested in gardening with a chance to expand their interest, get answers to horticultural questions, meet like minded people and enjoy social occasions together.
We meet on the first Tuesday in each month in the Parish Hall, The Londs, Overstrand NR27 0AB (is the nearest postcode.) Meetings start at 14.30 doors open at 14.15. Membership £15 per year, Visitors £3.50 per meeting. Refreshments are provided at the end of each meeting.
We have a plant stall at most meetings. Donations of plants and seeds welcome.
A very warm welcome is extended to all prospective members and visitors.
2025 Meetings
4th February - A visit from Richard from Norfolk Owls, who will explain all about these wonderful creatures and a chance to meet his feathered friends.
4th March - AGM, followed by a seed and garden items swap. Bring along your unwanted packets of seeds, plants, pots, tools and garden related items to swap with other members or for a small donation to club funds.
1st April - Nurseryman Ken Abel will help us learn all about hostas and hopefully bring some plants along for sale.
6th May - Garden Designer Amanda Hensby will be giving practical advice for designing your garden space.
3rd June - Andrew Sankey will give a talk on bringing colour to your garden throughout the year.
19th June - Coach trip to Bressingham Gardens (with North Walsham club)
1st July Summer Social - Celebrate our 25th birthday with afternoon visit and tea.
5th August - TBC
2nd September - Dr Johnny Walkers (Taylors Bulbs) will talk about tulips and hopefully there will be bulbs for sale.
7th October - Nurseryman Mr Jim Paine will be speaking about 'Trees for all Seasons' in your garden.
4th November - TBC
2nd December - Christmas Social
